| Alleppey |
(Alappuzha)
Often compared to Venice because of its narrow picturesque waterways, Allapuzha (Alleppey) is one of the most picturesque locations anywhere in the world. The palm fringed criss crossing canals, lakes and waterways, whose shores offer you glimpses of people whose lives are shaped by the water, together with its long sandy beach make Alleppey one of the best backwater areas in Kerala. The Backwaters of Alleppey can be best experienced in the traditional ‘ketuvalloms’ or houseboats which are a highlight in Kerala. |
