One of the first resorts to be built in the backwaters, the Kayaloram is built in one of the most scenic spots on the western side of the Vembanad Lake. The resort gives you an intimate feel of the backwaters. Taking a boat-ride from the Kayaloram on the resort's rice barge and drifting along the Vembanad backwaters is an exhilarating experience. Built like the 'Tharavads' (ancestral homes), the accommodation has been painstakingly re-assembled from the original, using only wood, bricks and tiles based on original Kerala architecture.
